In this project, we were asked to integrate the final outcome for the submission with one of the precedent studies for ARC 2128 Architectural Design Studio 4. As a result, Belum Rain Forest Resort were chosen. To kick off this project, we were to explore the resort and from the site context, together with the architectural buildings, we need to allocate a research title for our respective study paper. After discussing with the tutors, a title with "A Study of Design Approaches in Achieving Sustainable Architecture - Royal Belum Rain Forest Resort" was named.

 

From this project, i recalled back all the sustainable stratergies that i had learnt back in Semester 3, which most of them Belum has adapated in their design. Besides, i learnt how to analyse a building correctly. It is important to preserve our green environment especially being an architect or designer. Moreover, i also used some of the design stratergies adapted in this resort to my final project for ARC 2128 this semester. Overall, this case study paper taught me alot especially in designing sustainable building.
