In this project, we were required to erect a building using popsicle sticks. Some restrictions were given in this project, such as we were not allowed to use any adhesives, the building must be more than 30cm and use less than 100 popsicle sticks to construct. We made a lot of fun in this project. Lots of model were built for experiment purposes.
PROJECT 1 - UNDERSTANDING FORCES IN SKELETAL STRUCTURES
We learnt that the forces are transferred vertically down to the ground. Besides, braces are made to increase the rigidity of the building, whereas columns for the strength. Moreover, I also learnt to listen to other ideas and solution when we faced difficulties.
