For this semester, this subject, Building Science 1 will be integrated with the final project from ARC 2118 Architectural Design Studio 3. The objective of this project is to introduce the students different types of passive cooling stratergies that can be used in the final project design. Besides, we were also exposed to the basic design stratergies via tutorials and classes conducted.
PROJECT 2 - INTEGRATION WITH DESIGN STUDIO 3 FINAL PROJECT
From this project, we learnt the importance of having basic designs in our buildings as basic designs serve as heat avoidances to our buildings. Moreover, the importances such as the orientation and the colour of the facade also cannot be ignored. Besides, I also learnt how to calculate the heat gain in the buildings based on the calculation taught by our lecturer. All in all, I learnt the importance of thermal comfort, which it is as important as its facade design.
