As for our last project, like previous semester, we were asked to design a visitor interpretive centre (VIC) at our designated site, Pulau Jerejak. We were to add in poetic spaces into our design. Besides, we were also need to present our final presentation to an external crits, as to fulfill the requirement from the briefs. This VIC is supposed to act as a centre to showcase the history in Pulau Jerejak, hence, the board is supposed to translate our archtectural idea to the crits via different rendering and pictures, such as photomontage and interior rendering.
PROJECT 3 - GENIUS LOCI : VISITOR INTERPRETIVE CENTRE (VIC)
At the end of this project, I learnt tho generate design based on the unique character and conditions of the site context. Besides, I also learnt to generate design through conscious consideration of section-plan relationship with considerations of human scale, natural light, materials/texture. Moreover, I also learnt how to produce drawings (both 2D and 3D) via AutoCAD and 3Ds Max, in order to visualize my own architectural design and ideas.
